Finlays Community Trust Awards Senior Secondary Scholarships to 20 Students in Partnership with Browns Plantations Kenya and Finlays

Kericho, Kenya – 12 January 2026: The Finlays Community Trust (FCT) has awarded 20 Senior Secondary Scholarships for the 2026–2028 academic cycle to deserving students, in partnership with Browns Plantations Kenya Limited and Finlays. Each scholarship, valued at KSh 50,000 per student over three years, represents a total investment of KSh 3,000,000, providing essential support to students from employee families who may otherwise be unable to afford senior secondary education.

The scholarship programme, administered by FCT, is uniquely focused on the dependents of Browns Plantations Kenya employees, with nearly all recipients having attended junior secondary schools built and managed by Browns Plantations Kenya. This long-standing partnership ensures that educational opportunities are rooted in the communities the companies serve, reflecting a commitment to social responsibility and community development.

Since its establishment in 1989, the Senior Secondary Scholarship programme has benefited 606 students, with KSh 56.5 million invested in supporting education over the years. By awarding these scholarships, FCT continues to empower students, strengthen families, and foster resilient communities.
