Raymond is a seasoned professional with over 26 years of experience in the tea industry. He currently holds the position of General Manager, Tea Estates at James Finlay (Kenya) Limited. In this role, his primary responsibility is to oversee the creation of sustainable processes, quality control and strategic planning for the Tea Estates Division.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Trinity Western University in Canada. In addition, he has previously been selected by Finlays to attend several prestigious management and accounting programs, including the SWIRE Management Programme in 2009 and the SWIRE Accounting & Control Programme in 2010, which took place in France and Singapore respectively.

Throughout his career, Raymond has been a driving force behind the development of cost-effective, ethical, and environmentally sound business operations within Finlays. He was selected to attend a training program on mechanical tea harvesting in Japan, where he was able to pioneer the design of the 14cm Ochai machine, which has since been widely used by several companies in Kenya.

As an innovative leader, he has coordinated several projects that have resulted in tremendous growth for the Tea Estates Division at James Finlay. He is known for his ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams, and his efforts were recognized when he was part of the team that received “The Most Consistent Factory Award” at Finlays.
